I still think the worst game I have in memory was in the Weber era. We lost to Penn State at Assembly Hall 38-33 (circa 2009 I believe). And no, that was not a halftime score. You could have built a highrise with all the bricks thrown in that game. They were playing off Chester Frazier about 10 ft begging him to take a 3. No, that was not a dynamic offense.

Been saying it since day 1. You will quickly see the death of the game if changes are not made to NIL. The money eventually comes from the fans like us all, and admittedly from those a lot richer than I. But I for one am not interested in watching this $hit show much longer. Talking about college bball in general, not just our own $hit show.

Not as odd as 2022-2023 but slowly getting there. I was concerned it might be a repeat of that given the younger roster and complete overhaul

I'm intrigued by the nuances of the NIL and coaching. I don't want to get too deep into its impact, but to me, it appears to be playing a big role in not only recruiting, but how a game is coached and decisions

And are terrible in conference. By the old Illinois standards, we should lose to them. Thought we turned the corner but losing to middle tier to bottoms tier teams in the standings is common again.

I think of Brad as a system coach. He’s going to recruit guys to play his system but in game there will be no adjustments if things are off. That’s how you get games like Oregon, where the system works. And games like Loyola, when it’s not working but nothing changes
