Can’t remember if he outright said it but he certainly implied. Lists of reasons: Lack of adjustments, nepotism, poor evaluation of transfers/recruits.

And he’s one of the “insiders”? Embarrassing.

This felt like the surge you may have felt in a flailing company when a reorganization is done and nonperformers are either canned or reassigned to spots where they can't create problems for others.

Helps when you have your starting center for 2 reasons - gives morez a rest and it makes everyone else better on the floor.

Big day for the "screw analytics and three-pointers" crowd

Glad to hear we went to more of an inside game and less 3’s. I have never been a big fan of chucking 30-40 3’s a game. We have yet in all my years watching The Illini have we has a roster that can sustain shooting high %’s when shooting that many. I’m a fan of a balanced attack of 2’s and 3’s and also of running an offense that can get you a shot at the or somewhere near the basket when you desperately need it. Sounds like BU made an adjustment and it worked in the 2nd half. Just waiting for some highlights to confirm what I’m hearing

I am amazed at the play of Morez Johnson. I don't remember a better frosh big guy for the Illini and I have watched 99% of the Illini games since 1988. Anyone better?
A little before that but the late great Efrem Zimbalist Winters. Didn’t know his middle name was Zimbalist. Obviously after the actor Efrem Zimbalist Jr.

As much as certain players get blasted by our fans to sit the bench forever, the amazing thing is that almost all of them can contribute at a level that will win you a few key games at the right time, with the right minutes. Statements like "never should play" only apply to maybe one or two people. I honestly can only think of one but in times of desperation that could not be a true statement. This is why coaches get paid so much, figuring out how to get minimal time role players to give maximum effort when they go in and not giving them too much time when they don't provide + minutes.
