I'm done following this team this year unless they somehow make it into the tournament- completely disappointing season- such underachievers given the talent. Supremely ill-advised to start this game and first half jacking up 3 pointers when we suck at making them. It's no fun watching this team give away one game after another.

No excuse losing this game given what happened to Tomi- we were losing anyway before he got hurt.

Is it any coincidence that we went on our run to get into the game with KJ on the bench- for the second game in a row.

So what if this is an away game- Rutgers is a doormat on the league for a reason- they only have 2 good players.

This total roster turnover doesn't work. 2022-23 was a disaster. 2024-25 is shaping up similar. The success in between was returning a core and adding a piece or two. We currently have no identity. We have no culture. We have no leader. We have no fire. We are an AAU team.

Bad loss tonight. KJ didn’t meet the challenge against Bailey/Harper.

Too much of our offense is chucking from 3s and offensive rebounds. We don’t get anything easy. Very few transition points.

If Tomi is out for any length of time I think we struggle to beat anyone other than Iowa

Battled, can't shoot, 2 NBA players had fun! They beat us!

We can still be good, but got to fix KJ. He is losing millions $$ right now
I no longer really think we can. I mean we can “play well” by virtue of having multiple NBA players, lol … like, yeah, of course we can! But be “good”?? That requires way more than talent and periodic good outings.

We’re not good, and we’ve shown little to suggest we can sustain any type of success for any material length of time to rightfully obtain that distinction. This team might beat our 2022 team by 30 one day … but they’d lose the next two.

This is a team that could easily go sweet 16 or first round out. Neither would surprise me.

How was this the same team?

This is a talented team that has had bad luck with availability and is overall YOUNG. Riding those young ups and downs

Also I refuse to believe that KJ is healthy because he has not been the same player. He was driving left a lot and that's been nonexistent since he came back.
Luck has absolutely nothing at all to do with this. We have shown up poorly prepared. We look lost on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. That's all poor coaching. Not bad luck.

Excuse me while I bitterly dig up some comments telling me to stop worrying about this team after the OSU win

I haven't any clue who could do better in this super-weird, screwed up era. But I hope that, somehow, Josh Whitman does.

Not sure what KJ is looking for next year but give it to Riley to try and keep him from the league.

I was neutral on "nepo babies" before, but Tyler and his crew need to go.
If Brad will see the light then he needs to demote Tyler and fire/demote Hamer and get Xs and Os assistant coaches. These players that we have are too talented to be wasted on just seeing them chucking 3. A coaching staff of Geoff, Orlando and actual Xs and Os offense and defense assisants will be elite.

We are not the 2016 golden state warriors. We chick threes like we have three Seth curry's on this team!
