We had 13.5k on Field Trip Day vs. LeMoyne back in November. Of course, that was mainly school kids who got in free. We are offering free admission for kids, again, on Sunday. That should boost attendance.
Yeah, maybe I can dream the women will become Iowa or Indiana in ticket sales... That's a dream..

Gen's interview finished with the words "...it's just a beautiful thing to experience." How true. It really has been, even from the outside.
I remember all the losing seasons way before the Fahey embarrassing tenure here and to see what has transpired since coach Green took over is one of the more amazing periods of change in the perception of a WBB program for the better............

The buy-in from day 1 by the players shows the respect they all have for coach and her staff.........coach Green has made it fun to play WBB at Illinois and the infusion of portal players wanting to come here and with the highly rated class of recruits coming in tells me that this is just the beginning of a prolonging era of exciting BB and a chance for us to establish our foothold in being recognized as a power in the B$G and nationwide......

Coach Green should be in that 1st tier of coaches as far as coach of the year in the B$G and even nationally mentioned......

This is so fun as an Illini Fanatic to be witnessing such a profound turnaround in the Fighting Illini's women's program......

It really really is..................

While I don't really disagree with you about Fahey, the issue really started with Jolette Law after she replaced Grentz. While things were slipping a little with Grentz at the end, the program was still in a pretty good spot. Law really started the spiral. Then, Mike Thomas made another terrible hire with Matt Bollant. If I remember correctly, Bollant not only didn't have success on the court, but there were also a number of off the court issues with him.

Fahey was not successful, but in fairness she inherited another Mike Thomas-led dumpster fire.

Even though they have the size and talents on their teams if we get a double bye I'm not thinking ILL-INI doesn't have a shot, even against UCLA or USC..We were in those games. We just needed one more horse,or to miss less shots. Those teams earned the turnovers they got out of us because of the talent and size but our execution and moxie are real .Now I think the toughest team for us honestly is for some reason it's Ohio State.I still think we can steal one from the 2 giants. We just need Iowa to get one too...lol
