Incredible coaching in this one. The offensive game plan was perfect, and the guys delivered with rebounds even when they missed open shots early. Huge ups to Tre White, Bos, and Riley especially. I was happy with the refs because I think they were pretty solid, and Tomi did a great job of not getting that early second. Humrichous had some important rebounds and hit some needed shots later on. It was really nice to see KJ rebound from his all-timer 1st half, and to put up points, mitigate turnovers, and be productive with rebounds and assists. I want Jake Davis next year if he is content with his role. Ivisic is so important to this team, not only being the line of defense for this game, but his passing and all around game. I would love to have him back next year. Well done

Don't really want to be negative but I think this game tells you more about Michigan than it does the Illini.

Michigan are frauds and their lack of talent on the perimeter will lead to an early exit in March imo. They have managed to skate by pulling close wins out over and over for a month but that's not sustainable.

Morez is not coming back with a broken wrist. Kentuckys 2nd leading scorer did that today. Played 12 minutes, now he needs surgery tomorrow. Simply not enough time to heal properly. I do wish bigman was healthy, he was taking huge strides.

And ScUM goes down . . . What a great feeling!

I don't know if he's the scapegoat. Defensive scheme changed after that Duke blowout. They're hedging screens and allowing our guards to stay with their man. Thanks to whoever made the changes finally.
We'll obviously never know exactly who did what, but there's definitely a significant change to the defensive scheme on ball screens. If (and I know it's if) others had to step in to adjust the scheme, that's pretty damning for Hamer.

We really need a top X-O person on this staff. If we have to choose, it needs to be on the defensive side of things. While I know I've been critical of the offense at times this season, we're starting to see the needed adjustments over the last couple of games. Much more work getting the ball near the lane and then kicking out for open threes. But the issue is far more on the defensive side of things.

Tyler did it… kudos to him.
Tyler is now the head coach? I have a difficult time giving Tyler any credit. I think the head coach ended his experiment and has taken back control of decision making. Kylan was the point yesterday, he knew the whole team knew it was necessary. Everyone just looked happier most notably Kylan

He's still trash. I don't know, but I'd say someone else is in charge of the defense or has told him what to do.

He showed he really can't control a talented big defensively as well as he does smaller opponents. Lots of freshman mistakes poking and slapping. He'll learn.
Yup, some really good film from this game to show Tomi exactly what not to do
