Not sure what is rougher tonight in Vegas for the Gonzaga-Saint Mary's game - the 3-point shooting or Sean Farnham's voice. Poor guy fought hard, but his voice was spent.

I love, love, love conference tournament week. Favorite week of the sports year. My son, who is on the spectrum and doesn't watch much other sports, will talk with me for hours about college basketball and the tournaments and which coaches are being replaced and what seeds each team will be and which teams have never made the dance before and on and on. It's some of our best bonding time. Love that kid.

St. Mary’s looked like a total fraud tonight (and not particularly great against Pepperdine). Gonzaga not much better, although I trust them to make a run in the tournament way more.

NCAA Tournament bids clinched tonight:

-NEC: Saint Francis (PA) upset 1 seed Central Connecticut State 46-43. It is the 2nd NCAA Tournament appearance for the Red Flash with the other appearance coming in 1991. It also clinches another NIT auto-bid.
-Horizon League: Robert Morris defeated Youngstown State 89-78. This is the Colonials' 8th NCAA Tournament appearance, having last appeared in 2015.
-CAA: UNC Wilmington defeated Delaware 76-72. It is the Seahawks 7th NCAA Tournament appearance, having last appeared in 2017.
-WCC: Gonzaga defeated Saint Mary's 58-51.

I know he had injuries but man he is a far cry from that and not to mention having the keys passed to him after Ayo left. Real shame he thought the grass was greener.

I believe the rumor was that it was not his decision, but rather it was his mother’s (or handler's).

5 years ago today, was the beginning of March Sadness.

Ill never forget watching the Big Ten pregame show, waiting to watch to see who would earn the right to play Illinois the next day. Michigan and Rutgers got pulled off the floor during warmups.

I'm glad that's well in our rear view. I love championship week. I'm glad it's on this week.

I don't know . . . they won't have the benefit this year of having a favorably high seeding due to playing a bunch of cupcakes all year long . . .

Looks good. Distinct yet tasteful color variation in the areas that count, oob, 3 pt line, paint. The nod to the Indy 500 (I think) with the checkered areas. Pretty sharp overall.
