It's amazing to think of what this program has done in such a short period of time. Basically in three years, they've gone from perennial conference doormat to winning a post-season tournament and now winning a NCAA tournament game. The arrow is WAY up on this program.

These announcers sound like they’re at a funeral with Creighton losing 🙄
I was thinking the same thing. Between Charles Barkley last night for the men and these ladies tonight, I am really getting ticked off. How is the first win in the NCAA tourney in 25 years not the lead story for the end of the game. There wasn't even any hint of impartiality.

THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great job Illini....................6 man rotation and finally erased the dreaded 4th quarter swoon.................These Illini women are as tough as a 3 dollar steak and deserved this win with the heartfelt all out effort....................

get some rest and continue this voyage with the next game and a victory...........

Give Josh a massive amount of credit. There can be an understandable obsession with football and men’s hoops, the revenue sports. But I really think when you focus on all sports you raise the two big sports too. There’s a professionalism and intensity with all sports in our DIA and it pays off.

Excited to see what we can do against Texas, but I wish we could play this on a neutral court like the men do. Or if William & Mary could please just pull off the biggest women’s basketball tournament upset of all time tonight, that would be great.
Don’t forget that Harvard team that beat #1
Stanford on their home court. First 16 seed upsetting a #1.

I told Josh I will always be grateful he rented a car and drove by himself from Pittsburg ( the men were about to be ousted from the Dance) to Dayton and rang the bell on Shauna’s front porch. Our DIA always has a plan of action.

Hallmark of a tough team: control the game, shut down opponent when it makes a run, prevail.

Well done, Illini and Coach and staff.
