This team reminds of an old flame…she was pretty. I saw potential in her. We had some amazing highs and dreadful lows…We were too young to properly navigate a relationship. And when we split… I wasn’t even heartbroken.

KJ, you’re going to make some team very happy one day. I just need someone more mature.

While the NIL and transfer portal era has gotten Illinois some amazing players, it has gone against BU's philosophy of "Get Old, Stay Old." If possible, he needs to figure out Painter's and Izzo's formula for retaining their guys.
