Defense should be the top priority for the team this recruiting cycle. Should be a fairly easy thing for a team that has good NIL $ to acquire. Just get a bunch of long and athletic dudes that play hard and build a scheme appropriately.
We missed him this year. He could have made a difference and we know he is an EDG.Working on Ty as well. Would have to likely accept a bench role, but they want him back.
This one will be very interesting to watch over the next few weeks.
It won’t be, and still don’t see him happening.Dix would be a hell of a get and an immediate upgrade to our shooting. If he is this "big fish" that has been teased in this thread I am not sure I would be 100% sold on that.
Tell me the major difference between Dix and Goode?? Dix is a little better ball handler that’s it. Last year we didn’t even have a spot for Goode this year a Goode type is a huge priority??You have obviously never seen Dix in action
I wonder if his nickname is TJ?Sarr is what the team really missed this year. High level defensive player, super athletic, and lethal in transition. Would be a great fit.
He'd likely have to back door his way into that spot... But that usually comes with resistance
Well, for one, Dix's stats are better than Goode's in every way other than ft% and even ft% for a career is a wash. Dix is just a better player.Tell me the major difference between Dix and Goode?? Not only that, they also won their conference tournament….you know they all headed to the portal.Imagine being a player on that team. You just finished competing in the NCAA Tournament... the Big Dance... something every player aspires to as a kid. Then you find out that your team is dropping to Division 3.
Woof.
one of the two is better at getting penetration to the hole.Tell me the major difference between Dix and Goode?? Dix is a little better ball handler that’s it. Last year we didn’t even have a spot for Goode this year a Goode type is a huge priority??

Basically talk to my agent or I already know where I'm going (deal is already in place, or player wants to initiate contact with only the schools they're interested in).Dumb question here….What does it mean when it says ‘entering portal with a do not contact tag’?
Or the sentiment is out there that he's going to be a bench/role player unless he transfers to a mid major? That'd be a monster dive from where he's been and the experiences he's had, but guys want to play. With the news on Ty and caveat of accepting a bench role, I'd say it's safe to say the jump shot hasn't come along as well as he'd have liked**
**complete WAG
Yeah, but Braden Smith won’t be nearly as good cuz no Edey. At least that is what I read in this board preseason this year.Look at Purdue...
...and they bring EVERYONE back next year... scary
Dix can create his own shot off the dribble, hit a high percentage of 3's, and has an advanced mid-range/floater game. Goode has dribbled a ball, hits a respectable % of 3's, and knows his limitations.Tell me the major difference between Dix and Goode?? Dix is a little better ball handler that’s it. He was featured in Iowa’s offense. That team was borderline mid major material imo. I don’t want to feature Dix in our offense. He’d be a nice Goode role type guy. But I don’t want to go into games relying on sets ran through Josh Dix. He’s a liability on defense as wellWell, for one, Dix's stats are better than Goode's in every way other than ft% and even ft% for a career is a wash. Dix is just a better player.
Disagree, Goode is a better player than Humichrous (28.1 MPG in Big Ten play). So there was definitely "a spot". Maybe they misevaluated or missed out on better targets, but if anything Illinois is often too eager to show guys the door as "not having a spot" only to realize better options aren't there. Retention should be a higher priority imo.Last year we didn’t even have a spot for Goode this year a Goode type is a huge priority??
May not score the ball either. Thats not exactly a desirable combo lol.Can you imagine Ty and Morez on the floor at the same time? They would outrebound the opposing team and shut them down while they were at it.

Ty said he was working on his PG skills this redshirt season.Working on Ty as well. Would have to likely accept a bench role, but they want him back.

I gotcha, that makes sense.Basically talk to my agent or I already know where I'm going (deal is already in place, or player wants to initiate contact with only the schools they're interested in).
Keeps a program like Bradley from wasting McKneely's time.
