Some are saying that Morez's issue is that he wants guarantees of an expanded role. i.e. more of a face up game, 3-point shooter, etc. so he can develop for the NBA. That's mostly BS.
Well if Johnson is asking for that opportunity to expand his game, then it’s becomes a very simple reply from BU. BU tells Johnson, no problem, we’ll give you that opportunity, but you have a lot of work to do, so get after it.

I not sure how to respond to this post on the crootin thread Pru.....

Let's go with this.

BU had a team this year that was soft. REALLY SOFT! We need to bring in at least (2) perky, team players. If they play together, results would be really, really elite!!

Keep it up Pru!!
I think Pru was just reminding us that it is almost motor-boating season in the Midwest. Don't let the stress of portal season get you down. Make time to do the things that put a smile on your face.

That dude isn't coming to be a third big.
I get that, didn't realize he was as highly ranked as he is. How about Gabe Dynes from Youngstown? I watched him against Robert Morris, and he looked decent for a backup, and only played 22" a game. Not a great scorer, but led the conference in blocked shots. He is really skinny tho, think Chet Holmgren size in high school - 7'3" and 225 lbs.

Not that it matters but big Z won't make Morez very happy if he shows up.
I plead ignorance and say that I felt much the same about Ty coming back. Don't he and Morez play the same kind of non-shooting (other than putbacks) / high rebounding role? Maybe technically different positions but same effect on the game. Sincere question for those that can educate me.

Or is Ty 2.0 really envisioned as a PG?

Am I the only one that gets tired of KB trailing quicker guards down the lane? He's touted as being a great defender, but his failings expose our bigs to more fouls or easy buckets when they come to help on his man. He can't shoot 3's. Me thinks we need to pick up 2 stud guards in the portal.
Most of the plays when our gaurds ended up trailing a player into the lane was because of how we defended the pnr. The drop back scheme with no hedges doesn't help the guards at all when a good/moving screen has been carried out. Boswell is the best guard defender we have had since Trent. I would even say he's better and doesn't get the respect he deserves for his defense.

And someone mentioned the Euro soccer league transfer window too, these teams will be involved (very old, not mine, still apropos)

A Twitter account with ~700 followers that has also since deleted the tweet... seems legit...
I agree, it doesn’t seem legit but there was an account similar to that last portal season that was from a nobody with very few followers that was nailing every transfer a day or two before mainstream media - so you never know

Conwell would be a superb addition, btw, exactly the type of SG we need

We had trouble dealing with physical teams last season. KY literally ripped the ball out of our players hands multiple times for 14 steals.

Elite 8 year we were very physical - Marcus, TSJ, Ty, Quincy, Dain, and even Luke. Only Coleman had trouble and that was because he was a stretch 4 being asked to guard elite 5's like Zedey and Clingan.

This year only Morez and Kylan were physical. KJ, Will, Tomas, Tre and DGL were athletic with size but more finesse players. Ben tried very hard.

I really hope we can bring back Ty and Ben. Then add athleticism and strength thru the portal. A mature 2 guard like Marcus :) and defensive oriented back up center/ PF like Quincy, Roger Powell, Kenny Battle etc.

I watched Santa Clara play a few times and was impressed. He is skilled, pretty fluid, and can put the ball on the floor pretty well for a 7 footer.

Honestly, there is a bit of Danny Wolf at Yale to his game wouldn't be surprised if Michigan is very interested.

If 2 Bigs on the floor at the same time is working for Michigan, why don't we just go for 3?

Josh Dix down to Kansas, Illinois, and a return to Iowa. Visiting the first two this week. We have a shot, still gonna be tough.
IDK, it seems like we are a place where great shooters go to struggle. Not sure we bust our budget on a shooter, I'd prefer we'd get a TSJ type that can get to the bucket. Then retain Ty and go back to being the Big 10 bully. Kylan, Tre, Tomi can shoot.
