Tre surprises me a little bit after his post season interview. Seemed like he really wanted to come back. Is it just about NIL?
I have loved college hoops my whole life but it has reached the point to where I don’t think I can remain invested anymore if our entire roster is going to do a complete turnover year over year. This isn’t the college game we have grown to love, it’s a worse version of the nba (which I did not think was possible).

No one sticks around, recent high school grad or recent portal find. Reading between the lines of Indy's post, sounds like it isn't money but Tyler related?
When you recruit players that have changed teams every year, you should not be surprised when they change teams again. Just sayin'.
This was my exact reasoning for why recruiting over Ty with Tre White was a mistake with no hindsight bias
Brad benched Tre for whole Sparty game and then we got our butts kicked. If you were Tre you wouldn’t forget that. Good luck to Tre. Good player.
I don’t know if some people were toeing the line during the season, or are just optimistic people that were just blinded by their love for the Illini,
But that claim of building around a core group returning players sure doesn’t seem to be happening.
