Maybe I'm rehashing something that was in yesterday's thread, but I found this article. How accurate/realistic are the candidates listed?

I mean, if they loved Bobby Knight, wouldn't abrasive and off-putting be the traits they are looking for?
"abrasive and off-putting"

That, my friend, is the mildest description of Bob Knight I believe I've ever encountered.

BTW, when John Feinstein died a couple weeks ago, this was linked from one of the articles about him. Season on the Brink remains one of my favorites. Man could Knight hold a grudge.

Sounds like it's going to be Buzz
If all of the smoke signals are true, then I'm going to personally be fine with Underwood staying. For me, the #1 thing I really wanted to see was needed turnover on the staff. If that's going to happen and all we're really waiting on is the official set of announcements, I'm ready to move forward.

I wanted to see some sort of recognition that what happened this year wasn't acceptable and things needed to change. The biggest source of that was Hamer and what happened with our defense. We all know Brad can be stubborn. His adherence to his vision and his loyalty to his people are admirable, but they can also be a negative when things need to change. I mean, sure - if a program swoops in and gives him an offer he won't refuse, we'll move forward. But if he's going to make the needed staff changes, I'm not nearly as enthusiastic about wanting to see a coaching change process in Champaign.

Maybe Chester can cut his teeth as the next HC at VT, kick butt doing so, and then come in and succeed Underwood here after he retires with 3 consecutive championships.

I'll have what you're having...of course Tyler is Chester's associate HC on that staff, right? lol

In this totally realistic scenario, he would have a number of years of extra experience running an offense that just got Brad his three consecutive championships, so yes, I would be comfortable with it. :ROFLMAO:

CF, on the other hand...

Texas A&M is coming after Brad now…aren’t they?

I tried to prepare everyone for this weeks ago …

Texas A&M has been back channeling for a little bit …

They’re going to at least make a strong push for Brad … And if the numbers are what I’ve been told … Brad’s going to listen …

**This is not me saying Brad is leaving** … I reported on here weeks ago this was going to happen … This is not new news …
