He's improved his three point shooting each year, so you'd expect his 37% this year on high volume to go up. Yes we need to be spending time on players we can actually get. Until I see it happen I don't believe we will get someone in the top ten of the portal. Last year we went after top tier players and they all ended up going elsewhere. While this was going on most of the next tier players some of which we could have gotten committed to other schools. We were left with who was still around after that but it doesn’t mean we can't fill our lineup with quality players. Luckily last year we found foreign players to fill out our roster nicely.

Admittedly, for what I think Dix was going for, I'd rather spend those resources elsewhere. Way too much money for a guy that is mediocre at defense.

Do we know we were outbid? If mom wanted him close, it may have been a bigger factor. If we were outbid, it doesn't mean it's a bad thing. If we felt his value wasn't above a certain $ amount, it's better to pursue other options.

It would have been nice to have him, but there are others who could fit the role. With teams still playing, there are others who are not in the portal yet.

Storr is not the replacement or missing out on Dix. We need at least two shooters, and he provided a really solid floor for us as a team. We need to lock up Sarr and a 4 soon. Hopefully someone similar is available and also hope Brad doesn't start looking at Ben as that replacement shooter.

Err I mean I didn't want either of those guys anyway! (/s)

(I still think Z (and most of all Tomi - and I think they are a package deal this year - are the most important of this group, for the record, so I'm glad to hear that Z is still coming)

Got any names? I don't doubt that we can find a good shooter, but Dix is more than a good shooter.

Unless Fletcher Loyer in entering the portal or Isaac McNeely re-opens his recruitment, there isn't really anyone out there who still has eligibility who was shooting as efficiently as Dix with a similar volume.
