Like it, but shouldn't it be "BRADIVIC"? Bradimir sounds more Russian.
Good lord. I hope the marketing team gets pretty active on putting out filler content, or this offseason is going to feel like being solitary confinement for 5 months.Last year, the full non-conference schedule was released on August 20th, the Big Ten schedule released on September 19th.
Two big differences for me, personally, and they are related:Absolutely ridiculous that we don't play ̶I̶o̶w̶a̶ Purdue twice every year. That developed into one of the more heated rivalries in the conference during the last half decade and it has a ton of history.
(Hi FOTN)
I agree, I can't help but appreciate how much Purdue fans hate Indiana. Two big differences for me, personally, and they are related:
1. Whereas every Purdue fan alive would name Indiana (rather than us) as a clear rival, the opposite is likely true for Iowa … while they have theoretical rivalries with Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin, (A) those are way more football-oriented and (B) I still bet a hefty plurality of Iowa fans would name Illinois as their biggest rival, from reading their boards over the years and knowing so many Iowa fans in real life. In other words, Iowa/Illinois is way more of a two-way street than Purdue/Illinois.
2. On that note, I feel like the mutual hatred of and separate rivalries with Indiana (plus the Weber connection for a long time) has dulled any true hatred between Illinois and Purdue. I have definitely developed animosity toward Purdue lately that I never had before, don’t get me wrong … but I feel like it’s just not anywhere close to as intense as Iowa or Indiana. Purdue/Illinois now has more of the feel of MSU/Illinois in the early 2000s, in that it is a fun series mostly just because we’ve both been better than the rest of the league for a while.
Good reference. Of course, the MSU thing changed when Izzo went off defending Weber. Two big differences for me, personally, and they are related:

That is great analysis. Do you know when big Z is moving into town? Here's how I am viewing roles right now:
Stars/Go to scorers:
Tomi
Andrej
Trent Frazier Role-Great 3rd option with good defense:
Kylan
Guys who are capable of going for 20 on a given night:
Petrovic-Could be leader in assists
Big Z
Mirkovic
Glue Guy:
Ty
Role players:
Ben
Jake
Lee (Will get the least amount of minutes)
Very good roster. Tomi, Andrej, Kylan all should be all league guys if not more, Petrovic and Big Z have that upside as well. With the age, talent, and experience, I have high expectations for this group. Second weekend minimum, but they have a chance to do something special. That's what you want going into every season.
-vic is a last name thing.Like it, but shouldn't it be "BRADIVIC"? Bradimir sounds more Russian.
I think pretty much everyone will be there this summer which is going to be huge for us. Andrej and Z specifically are some of the guys who Fletch is chomping at the bit to work with. That is great analysis. Do you know when big Z is moving into town?
Maryland returns nobodyWell we can pencil in 2 losses already to Maryland. It is decided.![]()

Bit of a silly question, but does anyone know how buying tickets for this will work? I’ve only ever been able to find tickets on the resale market, which doesn’t quite make sense since, y’know, they need to be bought by someone first to end up on the resale market. One of those random gaps in knowledge that I’ve never figured out, as I don’t normally have the opportunity to go to any games.
I looked at my past calendars, and the single-game men's basketball tickets went on sale in mid-October and were listed on Fightingillini.comBit of a silly question, but does anyone know how buying tickets for this will work? Kinda bummed this isn’t a weekend game.
Anyone know when tickets would go on sale for this? I live in Chicago so need to make this happen
very much hoping yaxel stays in the draftillinois, purdue, indiana, ucla top 4 in whichever order. not buying usc all that much, not buying michigan after they lose lendeborg.
That’s old school thinking. These days universities and pro teams partner with ticket resellers and a lot if not most of the tickets end up on the secondary sites before they go directly to the consumer. I believe the UI partners with Seat Geek.Bit of a silly question, but does anyone know how buying tickets for this will work? That means nothing in this day and age.Maryland returns nobody
For the life of me I can’t understand why a player of Yaxel’s caliber would commit to a team before he exits the draft. Did he not see what Coleman Hawkins was able to command last year? He would certainly command more.very much hoping yaxel stays in the draft
