We are going to all the right places in Texas. Fort Bend ISD is a pretty big suburban Houston ISD with 12 high schools, but the dudes that come out of there are insane.

I’m obviously more tuned into basketball, where they’ve produced guys like TJ Ford, Daniel Ewing, the Harrison Twins and currently have Hakeem Olajuwon’s son. I’ve seen one of their 4x100m relay teams run a 39.99 in person.

I’m really excited by this Texas push. Keeping our Illinois kids home and grabbing some good ones out of Florida like we’ve been doing has gotten us really far. Being able to throw some Texas in on top of that would probably give us top 3 talent in the big ten.

Adding Parker Crim and seeing the full court press still applied to Tucker Ashford is interesting. If they add Ashford, that would make four edges in this class, which is more than Illinois has taken in a single class in a long time. Especially with the expected loss of Jacas + Bryant, you would assume the staff is going to be in the transfer portal to add at least one major piece at the position.

it is. my major take here is staff really likes Ashford and they feel he's gettable.

I think they are planning to have Crim play DL.

They are moving Crim inside

Moving Crim inside is a little surprising with his listed weight being the lightest of the group.

Good point, plus they just might like his frame the best for putting weight on.


Assuming this means the ship has sailed for Liggins? I don't see Crim as similar to Liggins, but there's a number problem with how many freshman you want to take and needing to make choices.
