I'm sure Whitman was Hot!
No doubt. I just don’t see a scenario where multiple eyes didn’t see it being originally rolled up. I doubt it was just one incompetent person tasked with doing this job without anyone else being nearby, It had to be changed, after hours and on purpose.

Will be interesting to see how all these 5 star freshman do in this age of get old stay old. Almost worked last year. Not sure they have a Cooper Flagg though.
I was thinking something similar but if you bring back Tommy or big Z and if AS come back with those talented freshman could make for a special season

I can play insider here as I have friends in the creative department, including the one who designed the banner itself. The file was sent correctly and was printed correctly. The story he was told from his boss and JW was that the arena crew just didn’t pay attention when they hung it.

FWIW

The banners should be designed in such a way that it can ONLY be hung from one end. Easily solved and should NEVER happen again.

Was it a crew of one? Because it just seems unfathomable to me that a group of people could’ve seen that as it was being rolled up incorrectly and no one would point out the error. I guess it’s possible but it just seems unlikely. I’m guessing from now on, JW will personally inspect each banner.

Well, I never really wanted to go here.... but I guess I will.... though not too far over the line.
This always struck me initially as an 'inside' job. Someone with an agenda based on the perceived 'wrongs' that TSJ supposedly (though exonerated of) committed. It's just way too easy of a thing to monitor and have done correctly for someone to completely screw the pooch on..... color me way too sceptical that it was just an innocent screw up......

I posted regarding this fiasco. All on the house stage crew. Sadly.

AZ, they usually are dummy proof.
Why was there no rehearsal and test of the reveal? Did the DIA not want to pay for the labor? Makes me wonder.
The banner may have shipped pre rolled and "ready to hang", you still rehearse. Its a live move.

Man, mistakes happen. You learn from mistakes. This mistake won't happen again (at Illinois). The victim already had some fun with it, I think we goodie.

Word out of my brain is that this isn't the last turn in the ride
The longer this drags out and if he does indeed withdraw from the nba draft and remains uncommitted, he is ours if we want him. Having his good friend KJ be a lottery pick and another in WR go mid 1st round will be enough to turn the tide IF he is uncommitted. And that’s a big IF.

His dad got arrested for trying to get a happy ending at a message parlor in the suburbs under the pseudonym "Patrick Ewing" the summer before his senior year in high school so they thought it best to leave the state for college.
I think we had already lost Jalen by this point, I think the rumor was Dad was in line for assistant coach at Temple at the time & Temple thought they had a package deal when the arrest happened. At that point Dad was damaged goods & Jalen switched to Villanova.

edit: from Jalen's Wiki
Rick Brunson received an offer as an on-bench assistant coach from Temple.[23] The Temple offer fell through when Rick Brunson was arrested on various charges on July 25, and Temple fell out of the running for Jalen's services.
