I emailed him about not ranking Illinois. I was not disrespectful or anything; I just asked why he was the only voter who did not rank Illinois. No response, of course. Did you also notice he did not rank four other ranked teams, but they are all ranked 20th and below (Ole Miss at 20, Tennessee at 22, Indiana at 23, and Utah at 25th), so those four are a little more understandable, but not Illinois at 11th. Ridiculous.
I emailed him and asked if him if the reason he left Illinois out was due to his Citrus Bowl hangover? (He is from South Carolina).

lol

27-13 illini. Duke moves the ball some but not enough with 1-2 turnovers. Illini defense bends but doesn’t break, and offense is steady.

Going out on a limb with specifics but why not

If you needed a new villain, Pete Yanity with Clemson media is your man.
He's one of the local sportscasters here in Greenville, SC....with CBS.

I'm on it!

All the more reason why we gotta win on Saturday.

This game means so much in terms of outlook. With a win you're probably looking at around a likely 9-10 win year. With a loss, probably more so in the 6-7 range but more importantly, all the off-season hype for the past nine months will be known as not credible and overblown (at least until a redemption performance with a win @IU, if there's ever that possibility in the first place).

If we lose this game, a 10 win season and the CFP is likely out of reach. But saying this one game is potentially the difference between a 6 win season and a 10 win season is a bit of a stretch.

In 2022, we lost the second game of the season on the road to a 4-8 Indiana team. Then we rattled off 6 straight including wins @Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and @Nebraska.

It is a peak Loyalty take. I will maintain my opinions that a 9-10 win season depends on at least splitting one of @IU/@Duke and splitting one of USC/@Washington (win two of the games in the respective buckets and a 10 win season is possible). No one single game will determine the season (assuming the team takes care of business against the teams they should).

This will be our first time visiting Duke - anyone familiar with the area have recommendations on restaurants while we're in town, either for Friday or Saturday evening, or somewhere for breakfast/bloody mary's before the game? Thanks!

I've contacted him. I'm sure he'd appreciate hearing from more of us!

Nana Steak or Cucciolo Osteria are pretty good dinner spots. Farther away the Angus Barn in Raleigh is unique and a local favorite. Not sure about bloody marys, but the two close hotels (Washington Duke and JB Duke) usually have a pretty good brunch buffet and are reasonable walking distance to the stadium.

Really looking forward to this one, the only real east coast road trip of the season for the boys. I will be there, mullet proudly shining the the bright North Carolinian sun! I will be wandering around whatever tailgate these folks muster up and hope to see some of you all out there as well. As for the game we will be stationed in section 7 square behind the boys, I’m optimistic about it if you can’t tell and would say 34-17 I-L-L, believe in Bret and believe in this team.

See you all there!
