Oh No Mood GIF by Saturday Night Live

Really wish we could just have kept Memorial Stadium. But there’s no doubt this is better than it becoming Motorola Stadium.

But thanks for the donation bro. There’s no doubt that’s the dream to drop $100M on the beloved.

This donation is really going to help with that $21 million Illinois has to pay for the court ruling. Hopefully, Illinois won’t have to cut any more staff, services, or organizations (like Illini Fan Council), or eliminate any sports now. We should all be very grateful to the Gies family.

In recognition of Gies' contribution, Illinois' Memorial Stadium, just one year removed from its 100th anniversary, will now be known as Gies Memorial Stadium.

Does anyone have Gies on speed dial to sort out our basketball and football uniform problems?

Just came here to post this. Love the donation; not sure on the name inclusion with a stadium built around a distinct cause. I suppose that is the cost for getting these types of massive donations.

He's making the donation in honor of his father, who was a veteran.

big time AD securing big time commitments. this has to be the coaching equivalent of signing the #1 ranked recruiting class. it’s only a matter of time before Texas or ND comes after Whitman
