Not really. Any chance we have to get us over the hump we fall
So what, from being ok to being elite? Disappointing, but if we only finish 7-5 or 8-4 that will still be progress for the program, but I guess that's not enough for the Crying Illini part of the fanbase.

Both sides of the line have been absolutely manhandled. I tip my hat to Indiana (🤢) but I can’t fathom how it’s been this bad. Did they all go out drinking last night?

My bad if misinterpreted. Glad you got to be there.

The good news is, we (Illini faithful) will be the only ones who remember this by next year.
Thanks. But not quite true either. I have three Hawkeye brother-in-laws who won’t ever forget. They’ve been texting me all night!

i felt like this was going to be a bad night when they lined up to punt on 4&1 in the first half and we had to call a timeout to get the right players on the field.

absolutely knew they'd go for it after that and scored a few plays later

the blocked punt was rough but thye responded quickly, that next drive was deflating
when we pick up a key 1st down at our on 2 and get a bone head hold and unsportsmanlike to go along with losing our captain and green dot and 3rd or 4th db I knew we were in deep crap. 0 got exposed alm9st right away on 3 straight plays out of postion taking over for Miles Scott Also I U has a great D line because these same 5 guys didn't look like this bad ever last year.

Fortunately, this only counts as one loss.
Unfortunately this type of loss often snowballs into many more. You think USC isn't licking their chops? Then we go to Purdue who always plays up for us, then Ohio St. Our confidence is GONE after this one I'm afraid. Staff has their work cut out for them. I'm confident in BB, but my confidence stops there.
