For those saying it's a 3 score game with a field goal, it only makes it 16pts. 2TDs with 2 2pt conversion. Kicking the ball off up 16 vs giving the ball on their own 5 with the ball up 13 is probably closer to a 50/50 call than one would think, especially when the opposing team does not have a good QB

I’m not saying not kicking FG was right or wrong call but:

1) making FG its still a 2 score game; and
2) Bielema wants a team that can get 1 yard against a weak Power 4 team.

Purdue has lost 11 Big Ten games in a row. He wants to be able to get 1 yard. He would go for it again next time in that situation.
