Missouri’s lack of awareness and clock management on the final drive in regulation was eye-wateringly bad. No sense of urgency and didn’t use time outs well. Now on to overtime. The way Auburn does this every time....
I’ve seen somewhere that the odds of us going 10-2 are ~15% and the odds of us making the playoffs at 10-2 are ~96%, therefore I’m way more concerned about us getting to 10-2 than I am of us missing the playoffs at 10-2.Notre Dame winning hurts us. I do not see any way of getting to the playoffs. 10-2 will not get it done. The SEC will get Bama, Georgia, Ole Miss, TAMU and Vandy/Oklahoma , ND, Non power 4 school, Miami, 3 Oregon, OSU, IU, and whomever wins the Big 12. No path at this point unless crazy upsets happen. Wish it was a 16 team playoff, we might have squeezed in.
I agree. ND’s rushing attack and strong defense were the difference in this game. Pressure on USC’s QB forced bad throws, too. While they are obviously talented, if USC is their best win that’s pretty weak resume for playoffs.ND rushes for 300+ yards, USC turns it over 3 times, and ND wins 34-24
This lady needs to be fired. This is the same ref that missed both DPI penalties last week against OSU.UCLA gets called for a block in the back. Only problem, the UCLA player never got within 3' of the Maryland defender. No exaggeration.
It may have been the same official that did Illinois vs USC.
That'll have to show up on social media. As bad as it gets.
Edit: Just found it.
Still can’t believe they opened the season with a win against Alabama, a clear top 5 team, yet are now on the verge of falling to 0-4 in the ACC.Florida State was completely overrated.
People say stuff like this every year at this time because they think there will be something like 15-20 team with 2 or less losses from major conference, but it doesn't work that way. Teams lose and get upset all the time in college football. While the 12 team playoff is new, here's some quick math based on if the 12 team playoff was the format during the entirety of the CFP based on final week CFP ranking:Notre Dame winning hurts us. I do not see any way of getting to the playoffs. 10-2 will not get it done. Wild take only 3 BT teams get into CFP in your scenario where a BT team is 10-2 with two losses to the #1 and #2 teams in the country. How many 9-3 SEC teams you letting in over that 10-2 BT team?Notre Dame winning hurts us. I do not see any way of getting to the playoffs. 10-2 will not get it done. Isn't USC going to end up being our best win as well?I agree. ND’s rushing attack and strong defense were the difference in this game. Pressure on USC’s QB forced bad throws, too. While they are obviously talented, if USC is their best win that’s pretty weak resume for playoffs.
Arizona St likely leaps us too, but still one spot leftWe probably end up ranked again after winning the bye week. Memphis, USC, Nebraska, Utah should all drop out. Texas and LSU should honestly be lower than us but won't be. Washington lost, UNLV lost.
Michigan and Louisville will probably jump us, but that still leaves 2 slots in the Top 25 to fill.
