Do you think Luke Fickell is Wisconsin's HC after tomorrow? Outscored 71-0 the last two weeks. The last time Bucky was shut out in consecutive B1G games was 1977!!!

Potentially crazy take: if Iowa were to lose and be headed towards a 7-5 season, would Ferentz start feeling the pressure to retire?
Not a crazy take at all. I don’t know about him feeling pressure but there would certainly be a sizable portion of their fan base ready to move on.

I feel like the appropriate thing would be to fire Fickell after we stomp them at Camp Randall. It’s closer to the end of the season and we could turn it into an Illinois tradition - every few years as their coach is losing leadership’s confidence, Illinois rolls into town, pounds the badgers at their house, and their Coach gets fired right after.

he’s done

when he’s fired is anyone’s guess, but NFW he’s their coach in 5 weeks

I think it's worse that he has to continue on coaching this team honestly. I want him at the helm when Bret and the Illini put a whooping on them in a few weeks

Hope he does well there and we end up playing him in a BIG game and stomping the $H!+ out of that douche bag.

What happened to his SC team? They’ve totally imploded.
Biggest issue is the Offensive Line..has been terrible for a few years and has not improved. Has a new OC (first game was against us actually in the Bowl).. and it has not meshed well. My personal opinion - Beamer is just not ready for a big time SEC program. Each year that he's had success, he's turned it around at some point of the season, but there was also some constant losses in a row mixed in and getting hot at the right time. I get it- it's college football, but it seems to be a pattern at this point. SC took a gamble on someone with no HC or coordinator experience (outside of Special Teams) in hopes of glorifying the Spurrier years with a top recruiter with a HOF Coach father. With the new AD at South Carolina, I would imagine a 4-8 or 5-7 season won't cut it if he thinks he can go out and get his guy. If VA Tech wants Beamer and the money is right, a reset and fresh contract might be best for both parties. His buyout is around $5 mil I believe. But if SC fires him, it's around $25 mil. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Mike Shula and a lot of injuries on the O-Line. The defense is good enough to win games, but Shula as OC is a crime against the game. SC is a very tough job; he would be smart to jump to Va Tech if he has the chance

I think it is more likely that they finish 9-3 - the Oregon game is the only one they shouldn't win

Florida's buyout of Napier is $21 million, 1/2 of which is due within 30 days. The rest is spread out over 3 annual installments, starting next summer.

Once they hire Napier's replacement, it will be second time in 7 years they'll be playing 3 head coaches. In 2018, they were paying Muschamp, McElwain, and Mullen.
