It's legitimately a shootout between the 2. Our offense is better, sure. Their defense is not completely porous, as is ours.
I see a 7-5 fooball team.
I guarantee every one of the remaining games is going to be a DOG. FIGHT. And we are without any dogs on defense. Every one of the teams we will face is licking their chops reviewing film of our defense. Kaliakmanis probably throws for 400 against us easily. Hopefully BB can will us through a couple more wins, because I guarantee every one of the teams we will play will look at that game as a potential win.
Rutgers will have the advantage against our secondary. They have capable wideouts.

Honestly, there are some real doomsayers here. Yes, that game was a mess and our defense was atrocious, but we will win the rest of our games. It won't be all we hoped for, but a 9-3 season is a great season. I just hope that Aaron Henry is not part of the team after the season is over.

9-3 would be a great season. However, a 7-5 season is just as likely unless the defense makes a turnaround.
I personally believe the Illini will go 3-1 in November, which would make a good season of 8-4.
I am honestly not sure what you are seeing in this team that makes you feel so confident in your prediction.
