EIU (1-1) won their season opener on Friday night, 65-57 over Nichols State.

Zion Fruster had 25 pts, Terry McMorris with 11 boards. Attendance 1,024 sigh.

Next up Notre Dame, Tuesday night 630pm, South Bend

Then Kentucky on Friday.

This Green for NW is killing it

Michigan looking really shaky early at home against unheralded Wake. Michigan guards hoisting up a lot of horrid shots and others making poor decisions with the ball. 11-7 Wake.

Edit: Has Hamer been secretly moonlighting as the Michigan defensive coach? They are consistently trailing off all screens.

We're looking more and more favorable against Michigan if we can ever get ourselves healthy.

Morez already with two fouls. Huge disappointment for those of us who were tuning in to see his 3 point shooting prowess

I expected him to do play into what ever role Brad told him he would have here. Rebound, pick n roll, get put backs and try to defend without fouling. When you hit 75% at the fine we can talk about jacking some 3s. If you think you can shoot show me in pra tice ir at least at the line. I don't want a Podz all over again from an Illini perspective. I do t want anyway to get away and thrive at Scum.

I think this is aging poorly. Let's see how the second half goes.

Fouls at half:

Wake Forest 16, Michigan 5
I freaking hate Michigan. But in my opinion, there wasn't anything wrong with the way that the fouls were called in this game. Sometimes, foul numbers are lopsided because one team fouls more. In my opinion, that's the way it was in this game. Wake just isn't very good or smart at playing defense.

Agree to an extent, lot of plays where all Wake can do is foul and hope it isn’t called… though the and-1 for Cadeau was probably an offensive foul… decent swing there

Morez been saddled with foul trouble all game himself

Wake closing the gap now, only down 6 with FT coming after the break
