But isn't he set for life already? At some point it is simply a number to flaunt and compete with other coaches.
Then he should try and accept that challenge. In my opinion, if you succeed, you are a god. If not, you are still crazy rich and do something else.

And he wouldn’t be a god with the same success at where he is at. Might argue he’d be more of a god as LSU has had much more recent success.

I don't know many schools that you have the Governor that obvious in making it known he's your boss.

It's all about where Lane feels like they are on the crazy to hot slope.

Lane Kiffin doesn't strike me as very Christian. (Or maybe he prays to something else?)

Why would you even want this drama at HC? Build a program with someone you can trust. These teams are going to pay so much to these coaches all just in an attempt to make the playoff?

I don't get it.

Meh. Unnamed, anonymous sources don’t mean much to me. Could easily be the Ole Miss side getting ahead of things by crafting the “we didn’t want him anymore anyway” narrative for their fan base to latch onto to lessen the blow.

Ummmm…11-1 going to the playoffs. I’ll take that (and his 32-6 record the last 3 years) all day every day over 8-4.

Isn’t there some old saying about rolling around in the mud with a pig? This is pretty much exactly what I’d expect from Lane. Memo to LSU: don’t be surprised when he does you dirty in 4 years …
Lay down with a dog, you just might get some fleas.

Honestly hilarious how the media been trying to rehabilitate ol' Joey Freshwater's reputation. Dude was spending almost the entire week with his 24 year old girlfriend in Dallas the week of the Kentucky game last year because he was afraid she was going to leave him or something along those lines LOL. They proceeded to then lost to a 3-2 UK team. He's the same ol' Lane.

100% agree. For a decision like this one, you almost must have it be a total “f*** yeah, this is what I want” to make that move.

Is there any possibility Bret keeps
AHen as DC ?
Miller as OLine coach ?

I get the feeling if we played IU again , the results would be very similar . Not just lose , but lose big

I had a pipe dream last night that Auburn would upset Alabama and knock them out of the CFP, sending DeBoer to Penn State and then Cignetti would go to Alabama. Unfortunately, Auburn didn’t step up late when it was needed.

Oh, well, it was a dream.

Golesh used Arkansas offer to get Auburn to pony up … Arkansas pivots to Silverfield …

Kiffin to LSU …

Sumrall to Florida … If Kentucky open does that change things down the line ?

Ole Miss … Judge is in play … Others as well …

Penn State … Deboer winning yesterday messed a lot of things up …

UCLA … Chesney has been their guy but does he want them …
