After his absolutely insane first half Illinois did a much better job on Thornton in the second. Stojakovic had some really good stretches of on ball defense when Boswell went out.

Also Z seems to be making big strides on doing the little things to contribute. More consistent defense and even some post ups!

Never felt like we were going to lose. A lot of poise shown by several players. But Wagler...that kid is ice
Same … which is crazy given how close it got. The team has reassured my concerns from the UConn game and then some. I’m fully back on the hype train!

Also L-O-L at the Peacock team - in game and in studio - desperately trying to gaslight us all into thinking the OSU home court atmosphere wasn’t anything other than dead, lol.

Serious question here. Can someone explain to me how Keaton Wagler didn’t get an offer from any of the schools in the vicinity of KC? Not KU, KState, Wichita State, Mizzou, Creighton. How does that happen that this kid gets only 2 offers?

Man, I know I shouldn't make fun of how people look, but this guy on the call for peacock has a look made for radio. Wow.

Keaton is way ahead of both Riley and KJ from this time last year, and his game is still maturing and getting better. I sure hope he is back next year, but that possibility is starting to fade as more scouts take a close look. He could, however, become a possible lottery pick with one more season to let Fletch develop his NBA body, and more time to become a lockdown defender and also further hone his already impressive shooting.
