Been so fun watching Luke grow up before our eyes. In the new age of college FB, he has been everything that had always made the game great, going out there and giving everyone every game

Luke Altmyer is my favorite Illini football player of all-time. It isn't close. I can't wait to see how many Luke autographs I accumulate over the years.

The amount of dedication to what is being built here is just off the charts. I don't know what his future plans are, but I have no doubt that he will be successful.

I could write paragraphs about what Luke has meant for this program, but I will keep it short: He is the proof of concept of working hard and being able to win at Illinois consistently (two straight bowl wins and 9+ win campaigns...unheard of for my generation of Illini).
This is now two straight NFL caliber QB's to come through Champaign and win. What top tier QB would not want to be part of what is being built? Thank you, Luke, for developing and staying loyal to the beloved, your efforts will be seen for decades to come. And of course, this became multiple paragraphs (tough keeping this appreciation short).
