Your move Bert. Henry was able to stop the "Preston Stone Throws A Bunch Of Picks" offense. Do you trust him to stop the next iteration?

If this is a “program-defining” move, does that mean NW is a has-been program a decade past its heyday?
It could be. Don't know if the Ryan family is kicking into NIL as well along with the new stadium? I'm sure some...

Really need some high-end track star type speed to mesh with Chip's offense IMO. This feels like a Fickell bringing in the air raid to Wisconsin move (I can be wrong).

If the recruiting can't be elevated to match the scheme, this will be looked at as a head scratching decision.

Odd move for sure. Would have thought a different landing spot with all the coaching movement.
But, probably made a deal where he won’t be on the road recruiting - assuming other places wouldn’t agree to that.
Known to not like recruiting.

I think hiring Kelly is a fun move for Northwestern. I don't know if it will work out, but seems like an experiment you need to be willing to try.

I think Kelly taking this job says a lot about his current reputation.
Chip Kelly has been in a mostly free-fall since about 2012 after leaving Oregon.

He had 2 decent years with the Philly Eagles in '13 & '14 and a 1 yr resurrection winning the '24/25 NC at OSU as OC, but for that he has been a bust.

He was a total disaster for LV Raiders as his offense was unprepared and disorganized, which is saying something when you consider the franchise he was at.

I think this is just Chip grabbing as much $$ as possible on his way into the beyond.

While it’s admitted in the article is a very outside the box idea and likely won’t happen, Bielema is mentioned in this article about the NFL carousel. Nate Scheelhaase is also mentioned as someone who may get some opportunities to interview.
