The decision itself isn’t as bad as the play call. When you have nearly 700 pounds of humanity on the left side of your line, load up that side and play power football. IU is quick and well schemed. What they are not is overly big. Just run right at ‘em.

Sometimes, coaches just outsmart themselves. That Alabama play call on 4th and 1 is a real head scratcher. You have a 370 pound left tackle and a 320 pound left guard against a smaller IU defense. Power football.

Yeah but smaller IU DL are quicker and stronger and stuffing them.

I agree! I always root for the Big Ten. I hope Indiana winning it all puts pressure on us to get better. If Indiana can win a natty in football, why can't we?

I can't find a universe in which Cignetti is likable. It's amazing to me that IU somehow found the Bob Knight of football coaches.
