I was told by someone who knows that Paris will see the field sooner than later.I’m guessing they’re expecting Beerman and Jack Paris to step up.
Payments must be starting soon. Lincoln is a 45 minute commute

all this is only possible in todays NIL world where he is getting paid nowPayments must be starting soon. Lincoln is a 45 minute commute
I for one am shocked we got a DL

Did Daniel Brown Transfer?Agree on all counts, but I would also say the LB room is a question mark - the only experience we have there is Kruetz and the new transfer Edmonson. Beerman will clearly have to play a lot this year, then it's guys who are F/RS F that haven't played before
No (unless I’m misremembering).Did Daniel Brown Transfer?

I think the offense could be better. Defense is still a work in progress. Special teams? Although we had a great kicker, that wasn't a problem against Ohio State was it? It was the long snapper.I would say it’s been okay overall. I think on offense we landed about as much as we lost. Hard to replace Luke but we did well with a replacement. Lost Bowick and Hollins and landed Perry and Platt which is a for sure upgrade. On the OLine that’s hard to say since we didn’t lose anything to the portal but added a starter so I’d say we gained there. No gains or loses at RB. Got worse at tight end. Overall we came out ahead.
Definitely got a downgrade at kicker. On defense I’d say we improved in the portal in the secondary gaining Williams, Filmore compared to Patterson, Karriem, Woodward, rooks etc. Think we got more playable depth so probably improved. Linebackers we got worse. Lost hood and Hayden and only got the Colorado state transfer. At OLB we added a guy, but didn’t lose anything because all of the outgoing guys were seniors. So I guess we did better, but the overall talent dipped because we lost more than we gained overall. At DL, we didn’t add more than we lost. Could change, but it’s a pretty big gap. So on defense and special teams, we got worse, besides at DB and maybe OLB/LB. So overall, I’d say offense we got slightly better or maintained. On defense and special teams we have lost more than we gained.
My understanding is that they are not done with the defense yet. Back end will definitely be better.I'm still firmly in the "defensive line and edges will be worse this year" camp. There are still players available in the portal, I still have lots of trust in Jamison, I'm still fully enjoying this run of success by the program, but I am concerned about the defensive line. It's also an option that I'm wrong and 2-3 guys take a big leap (Barna? Brown? Brooks???) and stave off regression concerns.
Thinking optimistically, I wonder if less dependable pieces d-line could push Henry to blitz more. His default setting is keeping things in front of him and wait for the other team to make mistakes. Having more questions about the defensive front, plus lots of confidence about the secondary, could create a recipe for more snaps from players like Beerman to create pressure.
No, he's coming back - I was counting him as more of an Edge than an off ball LB, but we're thin at his spot tooDid Daniel Brown Transfer?
we really need another DL and another LB/EdgeNo, he's coming back - I was counting him as more of an Edge than an off ball LB, but we're thin at his spot too
Found a couple of interesting stats on that, that really drove home the "bend but don't break" nature of our defense last year.Thinking optimistically, I wonder if less dependable pieces d-line could push Henry to blitz more. It could be. But replacing 4 of 5 starters on the O line should not be overlooked. Not to mention arkin was a really good blocker. Overall is the issue. Overall our kicking spot got worse.I think the offense could be better. Defense is still a work in progress. Special teams? Why the interest here? He certainly looks like a good passer. An in-state dude (for us), yes.
But we already have our long-term QB in Kamden Lopati. I'm good with where we are at.
(cue soul sucking sound.....)But we were 129th out of 136 teams in FBS in Opponent Passing First Downs Per Game at 12.3.
Puts some numbers to that sense of just being relentlessly dinked and dunked up and down the field.

We were 13th in FBS in Opponent Yards Per Completion at 10.4, ie our completions allowed were for relatively short gains.
