Hats off to Stoya for a 30 point effort and great defense. Mirk also had a really gritty game.

I’m glad we stepped up and pulled away early and then could keep that lead. It helped that shots were falling but I didn’t like that we jacked up so many 3s. I worry we will try that against Purdue and it just won’t work.

Intensity was there on the defensive side (most of the time) which was good to see. But still obviously missing our leader there. Didn’t love that we let them have such a hot shooting start and couldn’t seem to shut them off for awhile.

Score should have looked even more impressive than it was. Garbage time got us again.

That's all fine and dandy, but I want to talk more about why the 9th man who isn't very good doesn't get more minutes.

We had already been owning scUM by that point. Maryland is a completely different beast. Brad was 3-8 against them before tonight. We had lost 2 in a row to them. This is much more significant, IMO.

I think Tomi looks more and more comfortable. 9pts, 7reb.

Z with 2 blocks in 9 minutes. His block rate continues to skyrocket.

Mirk is just relentless on the glass every game. When Morez left, we questioned who would take on the rebounding. Mirk has more than been that answer. 15&9 today.

Story of the night: Andrej. 30pts, 9/18 FG, 8/8 FT, 4/7 from deep, 0 TOs. I thought his defense on Coit was just as good as his offense. I've pointed out him having a negative assist to turnover on the season.... he has ZERO TOs in the last two games.

15 offensive rebounds as a team. 32 OREBs over the last two games. We are just relentless in that aspect.

Totally agreed. The final minute was really frustrating to me (probably way more than it should have been). It looked like we would get to the 90s and keep them in the 60s pretty easily and then some really strange sequences happened.
