Pretty wild. So update, the TRO was indeed actually granted by the judge allowing Mensah to enter the transfer portal but not yet giving permission to enroll at another school, playing football for that school, or getting NIL from another source.

Based on everything we've seen with it comes to legal decisions on this matter, this TRO being granted defies logic. It was my understanding that 1. You cannot restrict a student's ability to transfer schools. 2. You cannot restrict a person's ability to follow economic opportunities. And 3. NIL is not exclusive, it's you giving rights to use your name image or likeness in an approved upon manner.

The fact that a TRO was granted for those things is extremely interesting. If this is anything other than giving appropriate time to review the case, it'd be shocking to me. Complete 180 of precedent

So ND rewarded.for petulance and encouraged to schedule softies.

SSDD.
They missed out this year for scheduling as tough a schedule as OU or Tech and punished for losing to 2 CFP teams.

I'd rather see a top 12 team play another, not watch a team because they won a tie breaker with a service academy.

After having listened to his entire press conference, all I could think was “yeah… this is probably how it went down with Luke Altmyer and Tennessee.” Except, of course Luke didn’t leave. It’s probably the same thing with Morez. But absent any real enforcement, these are the new rules. Dabo’s upset because he’s a “have” who’s on the verge of becoming a “have not.”

does Dabo know that there are no rules now ?
and unlike before , there is zero enforcement of any that do supposedly exist ?

Good on Dabo. If we treat college fb like a business , they don’t get to claim “business” when it’s profitable and “education” when accountability is inconvenient.
In business you cannot induce performance with compensation while disclaiming enforceability. If NIL deals are contracts, they are, then they must be subject to standard contractual enforcement, including remedies for misrepresentation, nonperformance, or bad faith.

Playboy................but what a worthless brand today

I watch this guy on youTube , Michael Girdley, who does 12-18 minute stories on the rise and fall of certain companies / brands. He should do one on Playboy.

I heard rumors when I was in school that Hef wanted to donate a good amount of money but admin didn't like the optics.

I won't be surprised if State Farm, John Deere, Case New Holland, CAT, or another major instate company became the non-Nike logo.

Could have had the Hefner Business school long before Geis came around.

you must have been in school 35-40 years ago , because the last 25 years of his life , Hef was flat broke and living off borrowed funds
