It's an easy call, you rarely see that missed.

And teams try to do that to Wagler all the time, they're always working to re-route him legally or otherwise.
Again. It is not accidental. And there is AMPLE data to make that determination.

Pretty solid half. Feel like we had a chance to throw a knockout punch or 2 but couldn’t hit enough shots 5-16 from 3. And we probably let Wilkerson feel a little too good to early.

But our shot diet is better. They are making alot of contested fadeaways and mid range flipper doodles (thanks Bruce Weber). We are missing alot of wide open 3s and shots around the basket.

If second half trends like the first half from a shot quality/rebounding perspective I’m optimistic we can pull away.

I've been defending the refs but there were four fouls on that last Wagler drive good lord
The Hoosiers getting a ton of respect - allowing them to hold and bang on dribble drives and getting a charge call when sliding underneath Mirk. Crazy.

I have this theory about Illinois and fouls:

Illinois plays a very "hands-off" style of defense. They don't want to force turnovers because they want to avoid fouls. Other teams are more physical. They're touching Illinois on defense in a way Illinois is not touching them on defense. So when Illinois starts to get a little more physical—matching how the other team has already been playing all game—the refs see that and start calling those fouls on Illinois, while continuing to not call them on the opposition, because it's how they've already been playing. Nothing has changed.

I hope I explained that sufficiently. I don't know that it's true. It's just an idea I have.

I think.or say this it seems every game when we are up about 6 to 10 points. Lets win the first 4 minutes. Also, dont we get the ball first? I hope we go at Devries because when he sat we smoked em. We let IU get away with him playing for 10 minutes with 2 fouls.

I have a sense that Bam is holding back on offense. But, he is really doing it on defense.

No way, being able to spell Wagler as the primary ballhandler and get him involved in off-ball actions opens up the whole playbook for us.

We had been getting very predictable and simple to guard (still very difficult to guard, but not for lack of knowing what's coming).
