Houston likely to higher than Illinois anyway and they wouldn’t be wanting the same location we do anyway. So yeah I assume Houston is who we want to win.

Agreed. ISU is slightly easier for us to leapfrog in the rankings.
They've still got at BYU (might be a little easier now), TT at home and at Arizona. Houston has at Kansas and Arizona at home.

Plus the conference tournaments. Lots of tough games left for everybody in the BigTen, Big12 and SEC.

The more I think about it… Mirkovic and Joshua Jefferson at Iowa State are very similar players.
I wouldn't even mind Duke as our 1 seed and Iowa State our 3 seed. boozer is a stud but he's not super fast plus we have the length to cause him some issues to say least slow him down. the rest of their team is good but no where near as good as last year imo

If Kentucky didn’t slide a blank check to Otz when they hired Pope, they’d be crazy not to do so now. He may say no (again??), but they have to ask. The guy is a hell of a coach.
Think of it like this: we can win the Big Ten even with a loss on the West Coast if Michigan State wins out (or at least wins their two marquee game against Purdue and Michigan).

I think the problem for MSU was the injury to Divine. He was their best 3pt shooter at 44%. They legitimately have losses to Penn State and Rutgers without him.

If rules have changed to make this a blocking foul, then the rule is terrible and needs to change.
Common basketball sense should have this as a charge all day long, and I wanted to see Iowa State win given future familial ties to ISU.
