I've said this before, but the biggest issue with our three point shooting is who is taking them. We need Keaton, Davis, Mirk and Ben shooting them, but So many times it's Keaton or Mirk driving and kicking out to Big Z - why? Coach has to reign him in. We have so many ways this team can score setting for one of those three shooting a three is literally the worst offensive possession we can have- Big Z needs to give it up and cut to the basket.

Exactly. Lack of defensive quickness is a killer. And this team does not have it.
I doubt it happens, but it should.

Brad looks kinda dumb after snapping on that reporter then blowing a big lead and losing a close OT game again.
And Tomi along with everyone else's 28 footers have sucked! Jake stayed consistent along with Mirk. Andre and others still jacking up long distance instead of driving to rim, IS A TURNOVER!
It's without fail. If you're a small guard in the big ten, if you flop, you will get the call. They beg to call it, they will call it.
The biggest argument in favor of playing Petrovic isn't that he can spell Keaton's minutes, it's so he can torpedo into defenders and fall down.

Tomi has looked checked out for a while. That attitude can easily rub off on teammates. Boswell definitely isn't himself either. We need the fun team back.

Yet Brad refuses to take questions about not being able to win close games.
I think that's more of just saying. Like, no matter the time and score - focus on the effort plays. I don't think he literally means all you have to do is get 1 rebound in the game.
It's even worse. 10 in the last 5 minutes of regulation (plus the 10 in OT), so 20 in the last 10 minutes:
We make a REASONABLE amount of free throws, you win. At the end of regulation, Wisconsin was 19 of 20. We were 8 of 14, missing how many front ends? That's concentration. We lost at the line. Period.
P.s.....Brad's not going anywhere and we all know it, so cut it off right there. That said, his roster building and Euro ball philosophy has to change unless we are unable to fund for elite guards. We have no foot speed advantage or athleticism advantage anywhere on the floor. That's a personnel issue.

Went to the game, and the atmosphere was pretty good for Friday. Happy to say we are done with B1G officiating until next season. All the touch fouls called, but Wagler gets tackled near mid court, no whistle and two points other way. Nevertheless, something is wrong with this team. This is now three times losing double digit leads in last few weeks, twice against Wisconsin with under 10 minutes to play. I think teams have adjusted to Wagler and play overly physical (can't call everything).
This team can still make second weekend, but Wisconsin is the type of team you will see in round of 32. No excuses anymore. These games have to be closed out, or we may be looking at yet another early exit from tourney.

How much talent do you actually think is on this team? Talent doesn't end with being able to shoot.
What players on our roster would you rather have than Boyd and/or Blackwell? We couldn't contain either guy. Blackwell kept taking the baseline and Boyd just penetrated. Not one of our guards could stay in front of either.

- Kylan Boswell totally taking himself out of this game on the 1ST PLAY IF THE GAME!!! Hurt his team by being stupid. Had foul trouble the rest of the way. Supposedly a senior leader... SMH
- How did we prioritize these soft bigs over Morez. Ill never understand... He was committed for 3 years and Illinois Mr. Basketball and we burned that bridge for Humrichous and the twins. Now we see the results of that decision.

I am with you. I am ready for some old school toughness. Jerry Sloan would have sent that a$$hat to the bench with a broken nose and face full of blood at about the 4 minute mark, and no foul called on Sloan. Rip thru with the ball on offense, ball to Boyds face on the way.
With our lack of foot speed and quickness across the board, ANY team posing dual threats is going to beat us. We can point to quick guards destroying us multiple times. The personnel, defensively, just isn't there.
For 1) comparing college to the NBA is so hysterical. For 2) we do not have Michael Jordan on our roster for the next 10 years. For 3) we have the most BIG wins of any team in the last 7 years.
