This is a growing strategy in CFB too...they're not gonna call defensive PI every play, and the couple of times they do won't outweigh the advantage they get from doing every play.

Refs knew in advance that Mirk is playing really well, so they needed to get him off the floor and out of game rhythm.
This is a Marcus Domask-like performance so far. VCU can't stop him nor could they stop Tomi until he got into foul trouble

Hard to get points when the opponent is allowed to grab your arm and pull every possession. Some ridiculous garbage being allowed this half
Just have to hope the refs call the foul.
All things considered, a 7 point lead at the half is a good position to be in. But we have seen how quickly things can change against this team. There can't be any let up.
