Shoutout to Brad Underwood getting us to another second weekend.

Play like we have the last two second halves for a full 40 and we can beat anyone.

Houston is very good. Going to have to bring it, but has the makings of an outstanding basketball game.

I just saw that we are playing IN Houston. Can't say I've watched much of Houston, but their offense is down this year. Should be a fun matchup! Smack down Sampscum!

(Of course, anything he did to make us hate him is essentially legal now.)

Agree. One of is better games in all areas. It is a head scratcher to me though that he shoots air balls from the arc. Gets a bit rushed and fails to use his legs...resulting in coming up over a foot short which should never happen. But overall an admirable game for him.

Strangely for a team of pretty darn decent shooters…we have multiple guys who do that-quite a bit.

But I ain’t complaining pretty drunk & happy right now.

I can’t believe they are playing NCAA games on the only court in the country with the benches on the baselines. That would drive me crazy as a coach.

A lot of talk of Andrej hitting the portal after the season due to disappointment with losing the starting role to Jake. The staff needs to make it a priority to assure him of a starting role, help him continue to develop, and bring him back as a key building block on next year's team. Losing Keaton and Bos will be tough, can't let Andrej move on too.

Its amazing how different one can look when play style has slight shifts.

Something easy to lose sight off, but that we should keep in mind with recruiting thread

Just imagined if the Illini played with this intensity every game during the season? It can be done, look at Houston.

If Illinois had this same intensity at Maryland, it's not a 7-point victory--it's a 20-point victory.

UCLA would have never had a chance and lose by 30 in their own building.

The Illini would have finished MSU off by 10 points.

The point is: they can do this.

According to Torvik, the Penn game was our 2nd best offensive performance of the season, and this game was the 2nd best defensive performance of the season!
