Women start around 1:30 after Men. I'm recording the Women and hopefully not missing anything
As it turned out, the mens game was not in doubt 10 minutes into the second half so I switched to the womens game. Also with the really loooong commercial breaks in NCAA tourney tv commercials, switching back and forth works pretty well, unless u miss a monster men’s dunk.

Don’t quote me, but the women’s game was better played basketball than the men’s first half- 8 turnovers!
And the college women seem to be more accurate layup shooters than the WNBA

To me, Destiny and Parch in particular have been looking tired at the end of games for sometime now. I realize this is a result of a short bench, freshmen, ultra-close games and their needed intensity. I don't see any break for them tomorrow night, so rest up Illini and get Vandy on their own floor.

I would want to keep all the other players Really need to recruit a couple of three point shooters will eliminate all the double teams
We have a couple...They will be adequate the 2 redshirting freshmen Manuella and Finney ..Of course we need to hit a home run on the last scholarship available . Whether it's with an offensive minded center,or a proven sharpshooter..I want to keep all of the players on the roster ,and just have improvement on Vasconcelos.....and recognition of Naomi strengths....and please for the love of God could we please have just ONE year without a devastating injury or plural for that matter? This team will be a juggernaut with just a healthy Dolan,Alves, and Finney joining... My most hopeful occurrence would be Divine Bourrage transferring to her other favorite school (which was the Illinois not Iowa)... But personally whoever comes in, will only be just more syrup and butter on an already loaded Pancake stack...

Extremely physical game. Colorado was not a good outside shooting team which helped..

We are going to have to step up offensively against Vanderbilt.
I think our women can get it done!
I say often that Vasconcelos can get you 9 and 9 and maybe 2 balls and the rest can maintain their average. This team would have been hosting a round or two... My dooming lineup would be Parchment at the 4 Berry the3 Webber 2,and the little maestro Destiny at the 1.Give that 9 and 9 from Vasconcelos and this team wins at least more games...

Great win Illini................youngest team in the tourney but one of the most talented also............CC and Destiny have added so much tenacity and grit to our program and add in Berry's improvement doubling her points average from 9 to 18 per game with all 3 still having 2 and 3 more years left to play for us is awesome........there was A LOT of contact by colorado that was NOT called and had me yelling at my TV screen in the early hours this morning but we took it and whipped their arse's anyway................

on to Monday night and another win...................my Blues won also last night so my fav's went 3 for 3.............YA-HHHHHHOOOOO..

Hoping for Lety to get to 9 and 9 is not my idea of improving this team. We need an immediate impact big. Alves is a much better candidate for that roll if we can’t get someone in the portal. Bourrage would raise the talent level greatly even if it’s not in the area we need most. We need to add to what we already have.

Still enjoying the 2025-26 season, but if I were to look ahead to next year, with a serious shot at reaching the Final Four:
1. Transfer-In: One dead-eye 3-pt shooter, to play off Destiny,
2. Transfer-In One super talented center; an automatic scoring threat in the paint
3. Retain, retain, retain. No one of consequence leaves the program

If we start with point number 3 I think some talent would love to be a part of it. Everyone seems to love coach. Find some money and get it done !!

Unless someone with remaining eligibility leaves, we'll only have one scholarship available. If that's the case, get the best big available.

Vanderbilt is probably going to pulverize us but remember: this season is practice for next year when we'll have the exact same team.

And if they somehow pull this off? Candidate for biggest win in program history? Easily in the last quarter century.

Not that there were many wins at all in the part of the last quarter century pre-Green...

Weird court. Easily could put benches on sides. So good not be playing a number 1 seed. Itsva long shot but we did beat MD WA and MSU so it is possible. Go girls
