Survived a dreadful first half. Putrid offense and Hawkeyes shoot 57% from the field and 50% from 3. Yet we are only down 4.

Too much standing around on offense. Need to swing the ball and cut. Also we have an advantage down low. Get the ball to Tomi and Mirk and space the floor and let them decide if they want to send two to the ball or play straight up. And cut off their doubles as necessary. And just keep laying Stirtz’ shots tough.

Big test for Brad here. Everyone always says in game adjustments are a weakness. Well, we sure need to make some at the half.

FWIW, that was not the best executed half by us but tons of credit to Iowa. They are solid on both ends right now. McCollum going to make some adjustments. It's right there for the taking. Keep being the aggressor. Play through contact. Don't collapse on Manyawu when Stirtz makes the pocket pass and give up the corner 3. Stay at home, if Manyawu hits a middy over our bigs, so be it. I'll live with that rather than have us scrambling and giving up 3 pointers that feel like 4-5 points.

Interesting that the traveling call came from the ref who couldn't see the play. It really is amazing how much Wagler gets hacked every possession without fouls getting called.

Iowa's strategy is to play overly physical and force refs to blow whistle (which they aren't).

Really a miracle to be down only 4. Biggest 20 minutes in 25 years coming up.

Im not blamimg the refs however how games are called has a massive impact on game flow and outcomes. Tighter whistles really help Keaton because if not teams bang snd bump him hard with their chests and forearm and its rarely called. Causes missed layups and turnovers and really sucks.
