One last thing to note...though Stirtz had it rolling today, in their previous 3 games they leaned heavy on Folgueiras as a second option and he saved them twice.

I was honored to take my mom and dad to the final four in Seattle in 1988 to see the flying Illini. We didn’t win, but my dad was diagnosed with ALS soon after and it was the last trip he took. He’s smiling right now, and I’m smiling right now.

Showing my age, but fondest of childhood memories in the Assembly Hall with some popcorn and watching the likes of him and Perry Range, Craig Tucker and on and on. So many memories of all the greats. E.g. Can never forget Efrem Winters, Doug A, Tony Wy, Bruce Douglas, Big George, Quinn R, Scott Meents... 4 OT win over Michigan in 84.
