Why did Wagler only play 14 minutes the first UConn game? I know they were trying to give Petro a chance but of the other games around that time Wagler played so little minutes.
And we did the same thing and won, too! Hopefully our team is the one that comes back to normalMan UConn is fortunate to survive such an ugly shooting night. They have some warts offensively, but Ball/Damary/Karaban will surely play better. Bring the same defensive energy and I like our chances
Saturday. I saw it get up to like $775 last night and it’s down to $440 for Saturday. For Saturday? Or all sessions?
We went from likely being around +5.5 underdogs to opening as a -1.5 favorite on Saturday.
Developments continue to go our way.
Win this game and a 3OT bruiser in the game after ours would be a continued positive development.
Whoops. You are right. I flipped with the odds for Michigan (-1.5). Updated post.I see -2.5
And the best coach.Really wanted Duke. Alas. Hurley the most unlikeable person in all of college basketball maybe sports
UConn may not be as good as they were 2 years ago, but are they as good when they kicked out butts earlier in the season? I think we're a better team, but I am not confident we'll win. I do think it will be a close game and not a blowout like last time.UConn is tough but not as good as 2 years ago. Duke is talented but I don't think Scheyer is as good a coach as he is recruiter and they've had to fight against Siena and St. John's. I feel confident we could beat both.
i could not care less if an illinoisan is playing for a team that’s not illinois in a big game. i imagine fans of Indiana universities are the sameMullins is an Indiana local so I think there'll be a draw there.
Yeah the more I watched Duke, the more beatable they looked.Really wanted Duke. Alas. Hurley the most unlikeable person in all of college basketball maybe sports
I used to lament that we never got the bracket to unfold favorably for us. This is the year that, without a doubt, the bracket unfolded favorably for us. And we have been taking advantage. This is what building a team that is consistently good does. Just gives you bullet after bullet to make a run if things can go your way.We went from likely being around +5.5 underdogs to opening as a -2.5 favorite on Saturday.

Look at our minutes allocation from that game too…hahaUConn will be a different matchup than the first game. They’ve taken Jaylin Stewart pretty much out of the rotation (he started and played 24 minutes first game), and gave Mullins most of his PT. And Tarris Reed is obviously healthy now. He was a complete non-factor the first game coming off an injury.
For IL the major difference is the emergence of Wagler. He only played 14 minutes in that first game. And Petrovic actually played 18 minutes.
Because we’re betterHow the hell are we the favorite? I'm surprised.
