I fecking can’t stand UConn. They’re kryptonite to us. But wow what a season! Not how we wanted it to end but we gotta count our lucky stars we had such a special season. Not gonna sulk or complain. Sometimes the ball just doesn’t bounce your way. We fought hard the whole way and I’m gonna remember this season as special forever. Proud of these kids.
We have next year. UCONN it's just not a team that's going to let you back in especially in the final four. We didn't play a good first half and you can't play catch up with this team. But I love Illinois forever and ever and I will always watch them. No fair weather supporters here!! Now who are we cheering for Arizona or michigan? I guess we should keep it in the Big 10!
Just missed too many good looks and had lay ups do everything but go in and and they banked in 3s. Hoop just had a lid on it in the first half.
Got to hit shots. Sometimes it is that simple. We out rebounded them and did good enough at ft line.

What a game ! I know this one stings because if you guys just make a few extra shots y'all are going to the championship. I think my Huskies controlled the whole game from start to finish but I honestly feel like the team that is best suited to beat Arizona or Michigan is Illinois. This journey of sort of following Illinois basketball because the owners of my Jimmy John's are huge fighting illini fans has been a treat. I love your team I love your coach , your fans are rabid and showed up, you guys are knowledgeable , pretty humble and I know that you guys were so excited to be back in the final four for the first time in a long time . You are going to be back , trust me you guys have a great thing going. Much love. This game felt like an old big East slugfest where every single rebound every single shot was important. I feel like the fouls kind of threw the game into the mud a little bit which is what UConn wanted to do. We limited turnovers, we rebounded pretty well and hit more threes . That was the game.
Well, great run. Tough game, just didn't play well. But great season - run it back!
I understand zero of the ‘luck’ went our way tonight but I fully believe Dan Hurley sells a little of his soul to the bball gods every year to continually be where UConn lands post season.

I can't help but think we lost this game with our shot selection more than UConn beat us. We were our biggest opponent.Our shot selection (settling for 3s instead of working it inside) did us in.
Still so proud of these guys. They did a great job repping the orange and blue and never quit. This team is special and deserves to be remembered as such
The Huskies are garbage. I dont give a crap. The game was a toss up at best, and most likely an Illinois victory if a few bounced our way. I know we've all been waiting for today. But I implore you, celebrate like they won.
