If he’s already back in Cali after player meetings this week.. and no leaks or cryptic messages released.. have to feel good about him being back.

There’s been all the speculation about Misko and UNC and our Europeans. How are things with our non-Misko European. I’m assuming since he’s back in Cali that his meetings are done. Any insights?

I actually love watching a pure PG though, so I’d welcome one with open arms if we do go that route.

I'm the opposite. I love watching teams where three or four guys can handle and dish it, drive and kick, etc. I know he contributes to winning, but I don't want a PG like Fears where every trip down the court is him dribbling, making a pass and that guys shoots or passes it back, and they start again. I really enjoyed the 05 team with 2.5 point guards, and the 26 team with 2 PGs (Wagler, 1/2 Boz and 1/2 Mirk). Much more enjoyable for me to watch when multiple guys can play multiple roles.

This is great news. If we can have 11 guys on the floor to play a 3-3-5 defense, I don't see how any team will get to the hoop on us
They forgot to tell you the other new rule. While you can have as many players as you want there is a combined 420" height limit.

Remember Jacob Grandison? Guys may have more value than it may appear.

Actually, thinking about who might have a draw to Davis specifically, perish the thought but is Luke Goode the actual comp here?
Goode is a genuinely fantastic comparison. Both put up very similar stats though Luke actually was better on the boards but I think Jake moves a bit better defensively(I trusted Luke more in Clutch shooting situations, Jake seems more gunshy in bigger games).

I liked Goode a lot but I also didn't shed a tear when he left to go play more minutes for a bad/mediocre Indiana team. I like Jake but if he chooses to go elsewhere it's not going to be a huge detriment(may actually help in some areas like defensively).

The absolute best thing about this portal season so far is we enjoy 35% three point shooters now all of the sudden after hydrogen-fire flaming Ben Humrichous for two years of shooting that same percentage
No kidding. Game threads littered with "ben cant hit shots" comments even though he shot like 40% the back half of the season and 40+ in the tourney LMAO

Not to mention vaaks shot like 31% in big east play

But who plays nose tackle? Big Z?

You pay whatever it takes to keep Mirk, and go from there. He is the lynchpin. He is already a big problem for opposing defenses, because he can do everything. He holds his ground on defense, is above average defending in space, and rebounds like crazy.
Give him a full off-season, and watch out... I think he's going to be All-American next year.
Hopefully, the relationships these guys have built will convince them to leave a little on the table.
But how do you that when the same agent represents 4 of those 5 players including Mirk and another 2 players on your bench??? Roughly 65 percent of your team 1 agent
