Has Louisville always had this deep of NIL pockets?!

If they land both Marauskas and Knox on top of already getting commitments from Bidunga and Shelstead, I can’t imagine they have the money for Blackwell?!

Unless they do… 😂😂
There's quite a few big donors here from what I've heard.
Papa John's. Long John Silvers/Rally's founder.
Not sure if he started it but, one of the bigwigs at Republic Bank gives a ton.
Optometrist who started up Visionworks. I've only been here 2 yrs, but this is what I've heard from folks who are Cards fans

Edit to add: seems crazy to me they are willing to pony up for Kelsey tho. I feel like this year was a disappointment.

And there it is. Everything was going WAY too smoothly. I bit on where everything being said the last couple of days. I always promised myself that I wouldn't do that given our history of early excitement leading to late disappointment. It's always a parent, a camp, an agent, driving prices despite being told money was an issue, etc.

Pencil me down as extremely disappointed if we don't close that deal.
Name checks out...

I'll be honest, I don't get the talk of preseason #1, even with Blackwell.

Let's assume #TheRetention happens, and we essentially "trade" Wagler for Blackwell. That to me isn't a step up - lateral at best.

Of course, if we assume Andrej and Mirk make a big step forward, then I suppose it can get you there, but that's a big assumption.
It's talk. People on fan forums almost always overrate their teams talent, most definitely including Illini fans.

But if we get Blackwell, we'll be in just about everyone's top 5. Even w/o him if everyone comes back and adding Vaaks, we'll be in a lot of top 10s.

Expect Blackwell to go into decision mode later this week. We met with him yesterday, heard it went very well.

I would give Illinois a slight edge of Louisville at the moment, but we will see.
I really hope that Blackwell makes his decision later THIS week. If we get him, great! If we don't get him, we quickly need to pivot to 1B or 1c options. Probably another experienced guard.

Appreciate the reply…

Haven’t had a care in the world to look at who’s donating to that dumpster fire of a program 😂

That's not what the do not contract tag means.
Yeah that’s fair. I connected dots of he loves his program and mainly just wants to test NBA waters. Perhaps he would made a more Fears like announcements if that were the case.

Absolute howling madness. I don't think you can sum up Denzel Brain any more perfectly than that.

Beyond there being two sides to a basketball floor, KEATON WAGLER IS AN ALL AMERICAN PEOPLE!

If we lose Stojakovic we are short of go-to perimeter scoring, which is Blackwell's excellent attribute. The two of them do play different positions and could play together, but on our team as currently built the two of them together over-fill some traits and under-fill others.
Stoj is a slasher/driver not a perimeter scorer...
