This made me nervously flip to the portal tracker and scour over the Crystal Balls…UCLA is landing a guard tonight …
Burn in hell, Bo Ryan.Wisconsin basketball made my life hell for over a decade… we’re living in the glory days ladies and gentlemen!! 1 piece to go…![]()
Undy's gotta be selling the vision of handing the '27-28 team's reins over to the HUGE freshmen class. That's the only way to explain no defections from them. Continue down the retention path and only fill in with transfers as needed. No complete overhauls.
Why do the insiders mess with our heads ugh! This made me nervously flip to the portal tracker and scour over the Crystal Balls…
Getting our heart rates up, Indy!
So my dad (season ticket holder for ~20 years) was famous for leaving games early to avoid traffic. We took bets on what he would say when he got home. He did not disappoint, reported listening to that play on the transistor radio headed for the car. They could hear the crowd from the AH NW lot..For those who have not seen that wonderful moment in ILL basketball history.
I watched the all star game and he impressed me with his defense size and hit a few threes. I think this year he will be similar to Ben little worse at shooting. Which is awesomeWait until we all realize that Lucas Morillo is a major contributor and one of the best freshman in the country next season.
I think this is a pretty safe assumption. He will end up with Duke![]()
Louisville just got major John Blackwell help Pat Kelsey must take advantage of
Louisville basketball and Pat Kelsey might have just received a golden opportunity to land 5-star transfer, John Blackwell. The Cardinals are one of six teamsbigredlouie.com
The article basically states that since Andrej has announced he is returning, Illinois won't pursue Blackwell. Is this a coping mechanism? Wishful thinking?
"However, the Cardinals appear to have received major help from Illinois and Andrej Stojakovic, as the 6-foot-7 shooting guard has elected to return to the Fighting Illini, making it certainly feel like Illinois is out of the race for Blackwell."
That's one insider's analysis. Clearly Brad disagrees.I understand he was brought in as a developmental piece and he may never carve out a role here, but doesn’t this kid sound like he should be rated higher than he is? 23 5 &4 or whatever on great efficiency and 40%+ 3 point shooting. Undefeated high school team and a Knueppel cousin? Sign me up!
I was there. For those who have not seen that wonderful moment in ILL basketball history.
lol it’s cause Rees woodcock as the “Illini beat” guy at Fan Sided said it was either/or for Andre and John….what a great journalist…![]()

Sounds very similar to someone else we're all familiar with.I understand he was brought in as a developmental piece and he may never carve out a role here, but doesn’t this kid sound like he should be rated higher than he is? 23 5 &4 or whatever on great efficiency and 40%+ 3 point shooting. Cox is ultra fast and can score from the 3, but vastly more in transition and mid range. Would see him as a facilitator that fills the gaps te team has...speed to cover quick guards for example. Why not?
Vaaks is a shooter, I don’t think Cox would make sense with a non-shooting point guard.
