He definitely does. He’s cooked Keaton several times on defense. Obviously that’s not Keaton’s game. But Keaton is clearly a minus defender at the NBA level at the moment. His offense is also heavily reliant on the PnR. His game resembles how he looked vs. UConn. Jacking up quick 3s moment he has a tiny ray of space.
His drives have been rough. He’s been blocked twice. He was blocked once by DP. Stripped by DP.

We’ll see where he is 2-3 years from now. But it’s clear he’ll be a project/G-Leaguer year one.

Wagler will benefit from playing alongside a true PG like Garland.

If he’s asked to be the primary handler for an NBA team, like he is here, it won’t look as good.

But can’t deny his shooting touch and processing ability.

Love that as expected the shooting translated. But will need to growing on the defensive end. As well as keeping defenses honest to dissuade crowding him.

Still struggling to finish in the paint. Also expected at this point in his NBA arc.

Wagler in the NBA is a catch and shoot guy. With a little bit of high screen and roll.

These summer league games have been a lot of iso 1 on 1 that isn’t his game. He is struggling with the on ball pressure driving by his guy but looks fine when he has space to shoot. The stroke looks good. The defense good too. If the Clippers play to his strengths he should be good.

Feel like Keatons had a few play ons that would be called in regular season. He reads the game so well….he will he will be just fine.

I feel like he did pretty serviceable on DP, especially for how he was rated as a defender coming in.
