There's your difference. $6M per year vs $17M. That's why this season and the upcoming years are so important. Have to keep grinding and stacking winning years (9-10+ wins). They have to break through to the CFP though. If not this year, next year for sure.

Wonder if the 2nd team sponsor option (or just patch option) has to be left for a B1G sponsor for all teams? I haven't seen anyone that has the 2nd team patch sponsor.

Or is the gear manufacturer considered the 2nd sponsor???? Edit: probably not as some B12 teams already have individual and the Monster sponsorship.
