We are pretty damn close to not having to worry about bag conversations

the primary thing with all these elite kids (the smart ones, anyway) is fit. that's why the vast majority of them wait til the dust settles in spring. that's what I expect Pettigrew to do. if we can provide the desired fit, I like our chances. barring unforeseen stuff, I think he'll re-class (to '27)

just to be clear, I'm not saying money doesn't matter (it's just not nearly as important as fit). there are other factors too, of course. I think we check all those boxes extremely well. plus, there's the proximity angle

I think you're right and we're definitely one of the haves vs have nots, BUT we still have a ways to go before we say we don't have to worry about it.

Interesting list.
Stefan Vaaks is said to be our highest paid player at 2.8M.

Andrej Stojakovic is next at 1.3M.

And David Mirkovic isn't even listed in the Top 100.

Wouldn’t be that sure of this source.

NIL #s are guesses. It's all "I'm told that..."

For 7 mil, I wanna see crashing of the boards and hustle back on defense.

To bag, or not to bag, that is the question:

Whether ‘tis nobler in the team to suffer

The ninth and tenth men of outrageous fortune,

Or to take shots against a sea of threes

And by opposing brick them. To lose—to turney-run

No more; and by a sleeper season to end

The heart-ache and the thousand cutting shocks

That Fletch is heir to: ‘tis a consummation

Devoutly to be wish’d. To choke, to weep;

To weep, perchance to dream—ay, there’s the flub:

For in that sleep of slump from this mortal coil,

Must give us pause—there’s the respect

That makes losses of so long season.

Copy and paste from site:
The NIL Standard uses a proprietary multi-factor model to estimate every basketball player's annualized NIL market value. With only 13 scholarships and five starters, basketball NIL economics are driven by role, program prestige, draft projection, and market reach. These are independent estimates, not official financial disclosures.

In Other Words
We are making our best guesstimate.

Something about this Jan. 1st visit hasn't been sitting right with me.

Cal is known to plan reclasses out well in advance of anyone else knowing about it, so why would all the other visits be in Sept/Oct and this one in January 🤔 this has got me thinkin...
The last three visits are all about a month apart. That may be what the family thinks is reasonable during the school year and/or what fits into their playing schedule. Arkansas hosts Missouri on Jan 2.
