The point spread for the November 10, 2007 game favored No. 1 Ohio State by more than two touchdowns (approximately 14.5 to 15 points) over unranked Illinois. The Illinois Fighting Illini ultimately pulled off the historic 28-21 upset in Columbus

I love the feels everyone has when discussing that upset (I still remember where I was watching that game and the elation I felt). But, this Illini team is not that Illini team.

That team would be 26 point favorites against this team too. Honestly, the 14 point spread at the time was more about how good Ohio State was than Illinois was bad. Illinois was 2 stupid plays away from being 10-1 at that point. They had lost three games by a total of like 14 points; two of them in games in which they had the ball to end the game I think (including that bullcrap Iowa hidden receiver call).
