Game Thread: Illinois vs Purdue

[aaeismacgychel]

For as absolutely horrendous we’ve played this half, get a touchdown here and it’s only a 1 possession game and you get the ball to start the 2nd half. Need 7 here

[Illinois_2_AZ]

We need to get 7 before the half ends or the game is over. And it might be over anyway.

[altgeld88]

Someone who understands secondary coaching: please explain how our guys can be so poorly out of position so consistently. We’re making these Boilerclowns look like a Top 20 team.

[Mr. Roberts]

[Scoregasm]

Can we set a record for number of DCs fired in year?

[Pikeillinifan]

I guess we’ll see how much fight we have in us.

[spotter]

I hate everything.

[TheFlyingIllini1317]

Season on the line here, need 7

[Illini2010-11]

I think it is safe to say that this defense will not stop anyone this year.

The offense needs to start doing something, otherwise, we might lose the cannon in a blowout.

[BWBW]

Score to end the half and then score to start the second. TDs, of course.

[CDRUSN]

Jakwon Morris gets turned around again and loses his man, for at least the third time today. Purdue will feast on that all day if no adjustments are made.

[illinois_hustle]

I get the defense looking bad but why aren't we scoring against these guys? I'd expect us to at the very least keep pace. Thought we'd trade TDs for FGs and win that way but not happening.

[skyIdub]

This is the worst defense in the B1G….and a team that has lost 19 straight B1G games.
In our house.
On Homecoming.

This is an absolute five alarm f$&cking disaster right now.

[Witherspoon_illini]

Who tf is our D-Line coach?

[RockfordIllini]

Can still double dip. But good lord we just look tight and lost on both sides.

[Geno33]

I've seen youth football teams tackle better then this D

[LFOD]

I picked the right day to drink early

[aaeismacgychel]

No effective pass rush at all…the QB has all day to pick us apart.

I mean that’s the problem right there. None of our DL can win a single battle at the line and our LB aren’t fast or physical enough to get home with the blitz. So you get no pressure from the front 7 and hang the secondary out to dry

[mainlabs]

Time to double dip with back to back TDs

[EmeraldCityIllini]

Jakwon Morris gets turned around again and loses his man, for at least the third time today. Purdue will feast on that all day if no adjustments are made.

Wasn’t Morris an NIL battle we bragged about winning too?

[Marshall_Lucky]

I know we need 7 on this possession, but will you settle for a 3 and our?

[Battle89]

Just utterly unprepared and getting a belt to butt against a terrible Purdue team. This is inexcusable.

AT HOME

[OskeeLoyalty]

Watching our offense reminds me of half-speed walkthroughs the day before the game...

[Scoregasm]

Houser airmailed another one.

[Red77sng]

I wonder what BB excuses are going to be after this game. Defense sucks like usual and offense can’t even run the ball against the worst run defense in the country
